Hydraulic test bench construction for experimental works (EW)
In May 2020, the management of NNIAT LLC made a decision to build a hydraulic test bench for experimental work (EW) with new hydraulic nozzles (version 1, version 2, version 3, etc.).
The main purposes and capacity of the hydraulic test bench:
- obtaining reliable information on the main characteristics of liquid flow through jet nozzles
- registration and analysis of fluid characteristics at the nozzle outlet and further throughout the jet under various conditions
- the possibility of mathematical modeling of changes in the characteristics of the liquid jet depending on a wide range of parameters at the nozzle inlet as well as surrounding characteristics
- mathematical modeling of the nozzles geometry to obtain the required characteristics of the liquid jet. The first stage of experimental work with new nozzles was carried out from September to November 2020.
Currently the results obtained are being processed, the design of the nozzles undergoes a number of changes after the first stage of testing. Even now the research in this area can be considered prospective.
The hydraulic test bench is preserved for winter period. In spring and summer of 2021 experimental works will be resumed.
In addition, a decision was made to develop mathematical modeling method in solving engineering problems.
At the same time, experiments were carried out with a unit (pump and fitting) for oil sludge transportation from the tank during the cleaning process. The unit is approved and accepted for industrial testing.
