NNIAT took part in the congress of chief ecologists of oil refining and petrochemical enterprises of Russia and the CIS

From February 28 to March 03, 2023, the annual meeting of the chief environmentalists of oil refining and petrochemical enterprises in Russia and the CIS, prepared under the auspices of the Association of Oil Refiners and Petrochemists, was held in Moscow. The theme of the congress was the development and application of domestic technologies in the field of wastewater treatment, emissions into the atmosphere, as well as the neutralization and disposal of waste from oil refining and petrochemical processes.

The participants of the meeting discussed the best existing practices in the field of oily waste management, shared the problems and aspects of their elimination at the facilities of oil refineries. Particular attention was paid to the interaction between oil refineries and the Nizhny Novgorod Institute of Applied Technologies.

NNIAT Investment Director Murat Kipkeev prepared a report on the core competencies and services of the Nizhny Novgorod Institute of Applied Technologies, and also highlighted the main problems of the processing industry in the field of supplying equipment and various components.

Pavel Burov, Head of the NNIAT Project Department, and Ivan Eremin, Deputy Head of the Design Department, read a report on the topic “NNIAT LLC’s Multi-Purpose Approach to the Treatment and Processing of Oily Waste.” Special attention of the audience was attracted by the developments of the Nizhny Novgorod Institute of Applied Technologies in the field of surveying underground hydrocarbon pollution, as well as the processing of oily waste using the Arkoil bacterial preparation.

Within the framework of the congress, an exchange of professional experience in the field of environmental protection and rational handling of oily waste was held, as well as new international relations were established.
